Austria-based young forward, Paul Mensah has broken into the top 10 list of highest-rated Ghanaian players abroad for the just-ended weekend after starring for his BW Linz outfit to secure the top spot.
The 22-year-old winger was a joy to watch on the flanks last Friday when his team hosted FC Liefering in the Austria Erste Liga.
For a team chasing promotion to play in the Austrian Bundesliga, BW Linz needed a big performance, and boy the players rose to the occasion.
In what was a matchday 29 encounter of the season, Paul Mensah put up a fantastic performance and scored the final goal of the day to seal a 3-0 win for his club to merit the maximum points.
With his impressive displays, Paul Mensah earned an enviable rating of 9.6 to make it into the list of highest-rated Ghanaian players abroad put together by Modernghana Sports partners SofaScore.
Joining Paul Mensah in second on the list is highly-rated Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku.
The centre-back was once again key for his Racing Strasbourg outfit on Saturday when the team cruised past Clermont Foot with a 1-0 win in the French Ligue 1.
Other players that made it into this weekend’s top 10 highest-rated Ghanaian players abroad include Lalas Abubakar, Emmanuel Gyasi, Jeffrey Schlupp, Seth Paintsil, and Leeroy Owusu.
With Ghana head coach Otto Addo likely to name his squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying games by the close of the week, it is likely a few of the players in the above list will be handed invites.
Ghana in the next window of the international break will take on Madagascar and the Central Africa Republic.
