After months of reports that sexy musician, Mzbel, known in real life as Nana Ekua Amoah has nabbed a role in an upcoming movie, Single Six, the movie is ready to hit movie screens.

The movie from the Venus Films Production stables stars several known actors including Yvonne Okoro, Beverly Afaglo, Ebi Bright, Zynell Lydia Zuh, John Dumelo, David Prince Osei and Adjetey Annan and Ciara Zita Galega.

The movie is directed by Pascal Amanfo and a special preview of it has been set for on July 19 ahead of its premiere on July 29, both at the Silverbird Cinema.

Mzbel plays the role of Serena, one of six lead roles in the movie. The songstress told the Graphic Showbiz in an interview in May that while this production had received a lot of media hype, it would her first shot at the silver screens.

“I played a supporting role in Socrate Safo's Destined Child and lead role in Miracle Film's Ye Ko Mmaa Pe. I even auditioned for Venus Film's Princess Tyra but I didn't get a role. Venus called me to play Serena, a spoilt actress. I didn't audition this time around. The role seemed cut out for me.”

Executive Producer of the movie, Abdul Salam Mumuni described the 16 Years singer as a good actress, stating “Mzbel did very well in the movie. She interpreted her role very well. She was simply fantastic and contributed a lot to the film. I will describe her as a good actress considering the fact that this is her first go at lead role.”

Single Six tells the story of six beautiful young single ladies who were on the verge of giving up their beautiful fancy lives to get married. But before getting into marriage, they decide to enjoy their last pleasures as single women.

Their first choice of excitement was to visit exotic places in the world and headed to South Africa. With their desires satisfied, they finally decide to get married, forgetting they also have careers to forgo and habits to quit.

With their careers now at stake, they are left with questions as to whether they have made the right decisions or have just met the wrong men to just satisfy their egos.
