Are You a Bible-believing or an Electronic Device-believing Church?

I. CHILD OF GOD, today I reveal to you through the power of the Holy Ghost that what appears on Your Pulpit Shows Who You Are. Beloved, necessity is placed on me to ask you this piercing question that demands honest reflection: Are you a Bible-believing church or an electronic device-believing church? What appears on your pulpit every meeting day shows who you are. What the majority of the congregation opens to read scriptures from shows what kind of church you are. If we remove all phones, tablets and screens from our sanctuary on Sunday, will we still have a church that can worship and study the Word? Or will the service collapse? This is not a message against technology; I love and use technological devices in my professional field on a daily basis. Technology is a good tool, but when a tool becomes a replacement in the body of Christ, then we have a spiritual crisis. THE PULPIT TELLS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CHURCH. The pulpit is not furniture. It is an altar of declaration. What you place on it consistently reveals your theology.

II. DAUGHTER OF GOD, in a Bible-believing church, the Bible never leaves the pulpit. In Nehemiah 8:4, Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood and opened THE BOOK of the Law in the sight of all the people. The people stood in reverence. THE BOOK was central. Today, in many places, the Bible has disappeared from the pulpit; it has been replaced by an iPad, a phone or a laptop. The preacher scrolls and swipes while notifications pop up. The sacred pulpit that should carry the Sword of the Spirit now carries a secular gadget. What we model from the pulpit, the congregation multiplies in the pews. If the pastor does not carry a Bible to the pulpit, why should the member carry a Bible to church? If the preacher reads from a phone, the members will read from phones or will not read at all and will just be an observer. And gradually, without noticing, we transition from a people of THE BOOK to a people of the screen. The Bible in your hand preaches a sermon before you preach a word. It says, "I believe this BOOK is authoritative, sufficient, and final." Let’s go back to the Bible, let’s honour God, let's honour the pulpit, let’s not place any secular object on the pulpit, and let’s come to His presence with our Bibles.

III. MY BELOVED SISTERS IN THE LORD, the dangers of becoming an electronic device-believing church are clear. A vibration in the pocket during prayer can shift your spirit from heaven to earth. You cannot be spiritually focused when you are digitally distracted. Matthew 6:22 says if your eye is single, your whole body will be full of light. What will you do when the battery dies mid-sermon? In THE AUTHORISED VERSION, THE BIBLE cannot be diluted or misinterpreted. It is interesting to understand that the Bible is printed in England and Scotland only under licence. This is not for the purpose of placing a restriction on its use but principally to assure the purity of its text. It is for this reason that the term “Authorised” continues to appear in the title of Bibles. In Authorised Bible Psalm 119 is Psalm 119. But on electronic devices, Bible apps come with multiple translations, commentaries, and sometimes, unauthorized edits. With one wrong click, a young believer could be reading a distorted version. The physical Bible preserves doctrinal purity. We handle our phones casually; we drop them; we place them anywhere. When the Bible is reduced to just another app among games and entertainment, we lose reverence for the Word. We no longer carry it with honour. Psalm 138:2 says God has magnified His Word above all His name.

IV. MY DEAR BROTHERS I am burdened to ask, what will happen to your church in the next 10, 20 or 30 years when most of the current crop of church leaders are no longer behind the pulpit but in the front row, watching new leaders take charge of the church? Or when you have been called to a new mission in Heaven? Will your legacy stand? Are you building a spiritual legacy for the next generation? If the next generation sees no Bible on your pulpit today, they will have no Bible in their own pulpits tomorrow. If they see you preach without opening the physical scriptures, they will preach without any scriptures at all. We are not just leading a service. We are modelling a culture. What you tolerate today, the next generation will celebrate. What you do casually, they will do permanently. If you are building a church around screens, the church will disappear when the screens go off. But if you are building a church around the Scriptures, the church will stand forever, because "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." - Matthew 24:35. Remember this is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! The legacy of a Bible-believing church is seen in children who grow up loving the Word, hiding it in their hearts, and defending it with their lives. The legacy of an electronic device-believing church is seen in children who know how to operate tablets but cannot find the Book of Romans without a search function.

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—The time to return is now. A Bible-believing church is not outdated. It is eternal. It is spiritual. It is powerful. So today, I ask you again: Are you a Bible-believing church or an electronic device-believing church? May it be said of us in 30 years that we left a church that still believes, still carries, still preaches and still lives by the Bible.

PRAYER: Father, forgive us where we have replaced reverence with convenience. Restore to us a love for Your Word. Make us a Bible-believing church in practice, in pulpit and in pew, that our legacy may stand for generations. In Jesus' name, Amen.
