Oh God, strengthen my hands

I. SON OF MAN, today, let us face reality: sometimes, your hands may be tired from holding your family together, tired from building that business with no help, and tired from fighting battles no one sees. Yes! We get tired as a result of circumstances, the burden, the length of the journey, and the mission. Today, I reveal to you that God is not looking for perfect hands; He is looking for available hands willing to be strengthened. In Nehemiah 6:9—"For "they all made us afraid, saying their hands shall be weakened from the work so that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.” The prophet was afraid while building the walls of Jerusalem; their hands were weakened by the opposition and attacks. Sometimes we face major opposition to the good venture we embarked on; we attract attacks from others who do not share our views and who do not believe in the mission. The prophet Nehemiah noticed that the only way forward was to get strength. You must acknowledge your weakness and seek help today.

II. DAUGHTER OF ZION, the prophet prayed, Lord, strengthen my hands. This was not a prayer for fame. It was a prayer for fortitude. Prophet Nehemiah was on the wall, rebuilding Jerusalem. The work was great, and the opposition was greater. Today, admit that the greater the works, the greater the magnitude of the opposition. Sanballat and Tobiah covenanted together to oppose the work of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. They mocked the builders and threatened them. When the enemies noticed that they could not stop the prophet and his people from working, they tried to stop him with fear, distraction, and discouragement. Sanballat and Tobiah adopted misinformation and disinformation to create fear among the people so that they would revolt against their leader, the prophet Nehemiah. In that moment of pressure, Nehemiah prayed a prayer that still builds lives today: "." This is the prayer for every man and woman who is tired but cannot quit, because the assignment is too important.

III. MY BELOVED SISTERS IN THE LORD, when your hands are weakened by opposition, call for help from above. Be conscious also that the enemy's strategy was clear: to weaken your hands and force you to stop work. Your hands become weak not always because the work is too hard but because the voices around you are too loud. Criticism, mockery, and false accusations have the potential to weaken your hands. The enemy, therefore, most often adopts these strategies to distract their opponents. But Nehemiah teaches us that you don't answer every critic; you take it to God. When men try to weaken what God gave you to do, don't fight them in the flesh—ask God to strengthen your hands for the work. God does not always remove the opposition; He strengthens you above the opposition. Beloved, the wall was massive. But they confronted it and completed it within 52 days because the people had the mind to work. Nehemiah was a cupbearer, not a builder by profession. His natural strength was not enough for this supernatural assignment. This is where many of us are. Your business, your ministry, your family, your academics—the vision is bigger than your hands. But God never gives you a vision that your natural hands can complete alone. If you can do it without prayer, the vision is too small. Weak hands are not a sign of failure; they are a sign that you need divine empowerment. God specializes in using weak hands to do mighty works.

IV. MY DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, what happens when God strengthens your hands? When God strengthens your hands, you gain stamina to continue, and you don't stop halfway. Many start strong but only strengthened hands finish. You gain skill to succeed, as Exodus 31:3 says God filled Bezaleel with skill for work. When God strengthens your hands, He puts excellence in your fingers, and what took others years, you do with ease. You gain stability to carry weight; weak hands drop things—opportunities, relationships, and responsibilities. Strengthened hands carry destiny without dropping it. Beloved, today I encouraged you to return to the Wall and stay focused on your assignment. Nehemiah did not leave the wall to fight in the valley. In Nehemiah 6:3, he said, "I am doing a great work, so I cannot come down." Protect your work from petty distractions. Don’t leave your work to attend to distractors. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Hear the Word of the Lord: You will not faint. You will finish your wall.

PRAYER: Brethren, lift your two hands right now and pray with me: "Oh God, my Father, I confess my hands are weak. The work is great and the opposition is real. Today, I ask not for easier work but for stronger hands. Let Your power rest upon my hands for wealth, for healing, for impact. In Christ Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
