Do You Know How Far God Has Brought You?

I. SON OF MAN, can you please pause for just a moment? I mean, put down your phone just for a moment, be quiet, and let all things around be quiet; then, for a moment, ask yourself: DO YOU KNOW HOW FAR HE HAS BROUGHT YOU?

Beloved, not how far you still have to go, not what is still missing, but how far He has brought you. Do you really know? Does your posture reflect that you know how far the Lord has brought you? You were born in that remote village; now you are a national personality. Do you think it was your personal effort? You were born into a poor family; now you are very rich. Is it through your hard work alone? Many called you barren, but now you are a mother of children. Was it the effort of medical practitioners? You failed your examination several times. How did you become a lecturer? You were a criminal, but today, you stand on the pulpit to preach. Is it your profession or calling? Yesterday, you were a tenant; today, you own mansions and chains of real estate. This one too—did you achieve it on your own effort? Today, let us be truthful to God and ourselves; you have not come that far by yourself. Today, acknowledge God for how far He has brought you.

II. DAUGHTER OF ZION "And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or no." Deuteronomy 8:2. Israel had manna, water from the rock, and shoes that didn’t wear out, yet they forgot all and sought help from other gods. Have you forgotten how far God has brought you, and now you think He cannot sustain you, so you are seeking protection from other sources? It is dangerous to forget what God has done for you. Beloved, ingratitude, fear, doubts, pride, arrogance, and crediting other gods for what God has done in your life are dangerous and have the potential to destroy your life. The psalmist said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.” Psalm 103:2. May these scriptures help you to recount and praise God for all that He has done in your life. May these verses help you to retrace your path, be humble, and seek God again.

III. PRECIOUS IN THE LORD, have you noticed how far he has brought you?

Spiritually—from sin to salvation; through protracted struggles; in your marriage and family; at the office and in your finances; and when you were cast down. “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6. If He has brought you this far, He will carry you along. We must always be confident of God’s assurances for us through scripture. Let us eat the word of God daily, and we will be confident to stand against trials and temptations for our testimonies to manifest.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” May these verses encourage you even as you struggle to stand. What the Lord knows about you, you don’t even know. TURN COMPLAINTS INTO THANKSGIVING. TELL SOMEONE YOUR STORY. TRUST HIM FOR THE NEXT STEP. BUILD YOUR EBENEZER.

IV. MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS IN THE LORD, “then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer, saying, -Thus far the LORD has helped us,” 1 Samuel 7:12. Today, begin to set up a physical or spiritual memorial. When discouragement comes, go back to your Ebenezer. Give thanks in all circumstances; instead of asking, “Why me?” recount what God has done for you. When you meet brethren who are cast down, tell them how far God brought you, for your story is someone else’s strength. Don’t live in yesterday’s miracle, but don’t forget it either; rather, use yesterday’s faithfulness to trust Him for tomorrow. Remember that THE GOD WHO BROUGHT YOU THIS FAR when you were broken? When were you empty? When were you alone? When you were in darkness? That same God will lead you beyond the Jordan River. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant, which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Have you noticed how far He has brought you? From the pit to the palace. From tears to joy. From “I can’t” to “God did it.” Don’t take credit for what only grace has done.

PRAYER: LORD, today we stop and reflect, and we say thank You for bringing us out of darkness into light; thank You for every closed door that protected us; thank You for every open door that blessed us; thank You for sustaining us in trials, healing us in pain, and providing for us in lack. LORD, help us to build our Ebenezers. And give us faith to believe that You, who have brought us this far, will take us all the way. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
