Guard your prayer from becoming noise

Guard your prayer from becoming noise

I. MY BELOVED SISTERS AND DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, remember that Hebrews 11:6 tells us that “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.” God is moved by faith, not volume. A 30-second prayer in faith shakes heaven more than a 3-hour prayer in doubt. Today, prepare your heart before you open your mouth to pray. Most often, whatever business we undertake, we want to go through a period of preparation first. How often and how do you prepare before you engage in prayers? Repentance and surrender tune your frequency to heaven. In Psalm 139:23-24 the Bible tells us, “Search me, O God, and know my heart!” Our hearts must be right before we appear before the Lord; in fact, He knows the position of our heart. As an act of obedience that also opens doors, we invite God to search us, and when we are convicted, we pray for mercy.

II. MY BELOVED SISTER, the Lord’s words are very important to Him. When we pray and utter the Word of God in faith, it invokes heaven to respond. We must learn to pray with the word of God. In Jeremiah 1:12, God tells us that “I am watching over My word to perform it.” God is watching. Use his words, and your prayers will be answered. When you pray scripture, you are praying God’s will. That is never noise. In Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” God is not only watching His words, but as He sends them forth, they will never return empty. His words will prosper in the things for which he sent them. In Jude verse 20, the Bible encourages us to, “Building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.” The Spirit gives depth when our words are shallow. Let us be careful that our prayers do not become noise in the Lord’s ears. Noise is sound without substance. Activity without intimacy. Words without weight.

III. MY DEAR BROTHERS don’t also forget that in Habakkuk 2:20, we are told that “The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.” Silence is not empty. It is where God speaks. There is a time to enter His holy temple with silence, not noise. If you enter In His holy temple, with noise, you will not hear Him speak. God has been speaking to many, but because they chose the noise, they cannot hear the Lord. To avoid noisy prayer sessions, the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, “In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Thanksgiving plays a critical role in our daily prayer life. Always remember the question: Where are the other nine? How come only one person came back to offer thanks? Are you that one, or are you among the ungrateful nine? You are not only thanking God for what he has done but also for what he is yet to do. Thanksgiving proves we trust that He heard us.

IV. PRECIOUS IN THE LORD, let us be honest. God is not impressed by prayer marathons if the heart is far. The Bible reveals to us in Isaiah 29:13, “This people draw near with their mouths and honour Me with their lips, while their hearts are far from Me.” God knows our hearts. God needs our hearts, not the noise through prayers. God knows whether you are just in church with your mouth and honouring the Lord through praises, worship, and dances to purportedly honour Him but your heart is far away from Him. God knows as you kneel down to pray. Beloved, from today let our prayer room be a place of encounter, not performance. Let our altar be clean before it is loud, and let our cry be small but full of faith. Remember that in 1 Kings 19:11-12. God was not in the wind, earthquake, or fire. He was in the gentle whisper. Sometimes God is waiting for us to lower the noise so He can speak. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor, Yes! The ears of the Lord are open to the righteous. 1 Peter 3:12 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers."

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Don't let familiarity make your prayer common. Don’t let repetition make your prayer empty. Don’t let busyness make your prayer noise.

PRAYER: Father, forgive us for prayers that were just noise. Teach us to pray.

Let our words be few but weighty. Let our hearts be quiet but hungry.

From today, may our prayers rise like incense before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
