I. Daughter of Zion, as you crossover into this month, you shall do exploits through the power of God. You shall receive enabling power to overcome and do exploits. Nothing can hinder, obstruct, disorganise, or cause you to despair. Through God, you shall exploit this month. As you step out to do exploits, . Manasseh was Judah’s longest-reigning king. He ruled for 55 years in Jerusalem. With that much time and power, he could have built a legacy of righteousness. Instead, Scripture says he “did evil in the sight of the Lord". The sins of Manasseh, which we must refrain from. We must acknowledge that Manasseh did not commit one sin. He built a system of rebellion. If we are not careful, we repeat his pattern in modern forms. He rebuilt the high places, erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah. Manasseh also tore down his father Hezekiah’s reforms. Spiritually, this is when we reintroduce into our lives what God already delivered us from.
II. SON OF MAN, refrain from occultic practices. Seeking power outside God. There is no power out there. Some mediums may promise and offer you temporal solutions, but in the end it would be expensive. Manasseh practised soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and spiritists. Today if you feel anxious, stuck, or desperate, the temptation is to look for shortcuts. To consult, or you become prone to manipulation, superstition, “juju”, cutting corners, or ungodly counsel instead of prayer. Brother, the truth is that anything you consult before you consult God will eventually cost you your peace. Manasseh shed very much innocent blood. This is more than murder. It is character assassination, slander, abortion of purpose, destroying people’s reputations, or leading others into sin. When you corrupt the next generation, you spill “innocent blood". Let us refrain from the sins of Manasseh today and save your life and generations after you.
III. MY BELOVED SISTERS AND DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, Manasseh as king made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem do more evil than the nations around. As president, as chief executive officer, as a man or woman in authority, what are you using it for? Manasseh did not sin alone. He had influence. Parents, leaders, influencers, and elders, when you normalise sin, you multiply it. God holds leaders accountable for those they mislead. Today, remember that sin has consequences. Therefore, the Lord brought upon Manasseh and all the people. The Lord ordered foreign commanders of the army who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters and brought him to Babylon. Sin will bind you into captivity. What starts as a choice becomes a chain. Addictions, debt, toxic relationships, and hidden habits all begin as “freedom” and end as fetters. Let us remember the mistakes of our forefathers, change from the sins of your fathers, and avoid rebuilding the Baal altars. Refrain from the sins of Manasseh today, for sin has consequences.
IV. BRETHREN IN THE LORD, Judah was carried away because of Manasseh’s sins. One man’s compromise can affect a whole household, ministry, or nation. It is never too late to repent. There must always be a turning point in life. Manasseh, in his distress in captivity, entreated the favour of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly. Sometimes God allows pressure not to destroy you but to redirect you. Prison, loss, sickness, emptiness, challenges, marital difficulties, or embarrassment can be God’s mercy to bring you to your knees. Sometimes, your wealth, power, sudden promotion, unexplained riches, smooth sailing, among others, can also be another way to test your faithfulness to God in times of little affluence for bigger things tomorrow. Manasseh prayed, and God was moved by his prayers. God did not say, “You are too far gone.” This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor, Yes! The same God who heard Manasseh will hear you today, if you humble yourself and pray. No sin is beyond the reach of repentance.
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Manasseh, after his restoration, took away the foreign gods and commanded Judah to serve the Lord. True repentance, not just tears. It is removal. It is dismantling the altars you built. If nothing changes after you pray, it was not repentance; it was regret.
PRAYER: May the Lord give us the grace to refrain from every sin that leads to captivity and the courage to return to Him who saves our life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
