Dhyan Foundation: A Global Beacon of Compassion and Sustainable Change

Dhyan Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong care of injured, abandoned, and trafficked animals. Rooted in the path of Dharma, the Foundation blends ancient Vedic wisdom with large-scale humanitarian action to protect the voiceless.

At the heart of this mission is Ashwini Guruji,the energy and inspiration behind the various initiatives of Dhyan Foundation. Guruji has devoted his life, time, and assets to the upliftment and protection of all living beings. Under his guidance, thousands of volunteers across the globe walk the path of compassion, service, and responsibility, working tirelessly as custodians of the vulnerable and protectors of the voiceless.

Dhyan Foundation is the only organization in India working with the Border Security Force (BSF) to stop cross-border illegal cattle trafficking into Bangladesh. According to BSF, cross-border cattle trafficking on Indo- Bangladesh border has reduced drastically and attacks on BSF jawans reduced a lot due to Dhyan Foundation. It is taking care of more than 70,000 gauvansh rescued from traffickers and illegal slaughterhouses which are rehabilitated in over 47 gaushalas. It is the only organisation in the world taking care of rescued gauvansh with 90% being Nandis and aged, unproductive cows—each one saved through coordinated efforts with the police and BSF. Their gaushala in Chakuliya which is home to over 22,000 gauvansh is the largest Nandishala in Eastern India.

The Foundation cares for dogs, cats, bulls, camels, horses, goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, peacocks, and more and no animal is ever turned away. Dhyan foundation has many dog shelters also and runs 24/7 animal ambulances in 8 cities and feeds over innumerable stray animals and birds daily through its 1000 plus feeding points. It also helped stop cruel killings of dogs in Kerala by going till Supreme Court to stop it.

Dhyan Foundation addresses urgent medical needs of all animals through plastic removal surgeries for cattle, prosthetic limb replacements, and specialized care. It conducts awareness drives in RWAs, schools, and colleges to foster compassion among youth.

The Foundation has played a vital role in emergency relief programs for cattle affected by natural disasters in Latur, Dausa, Kollegal, and more—mobilizing resources, transport, and shelter rapidly.

Its gaushalas, many in rural interiors, empower over 500 villages by generating employment and distributing gobar (cow dung) to promote organic farming and soil rejuvenation. In Jharkhand’s Chakulia region, Santauli tribal women are empowered and their children are supported through education, and nutrition programs.

Internationally, Dhyan Foundation gaushalas are now operational in Australia and the UK, with more in the pipeline—expanding the mission globally.

Awarded the Jeev Daya Award 2021 by the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), Dhyan Foundation continues to lead by example in building a kinder, more conscious world for all living beings.
