When Ghana's only accountant-turned-musician, Oheneba Kissi, stormed the music industry two decades ago, little did he know he could assume iconic status with his maverick productions.

The legendary musician is currently on sing-song, with his 13th successive album steadily enjoying massive airplay across the length and breath of Ghana.

It becomes little wonder, therefore, when his own peers revere him by his uniquely beautiful songs, love melodies, dirges and life stories; bringing a lot of encouragement, determination, admiration and enchainment to listeners.

Oheneba's fame in Ghana's music industry is common to the ordinary Ghanaian; however, his latest album entitled 'Oheneba's 13th' is a presentation of great lyrical contents.

The highlife sensation aka Mr Sweet Voice's new album has been on the market for sometime now.

Though the entire ten tracks are not so different from the usual contemporary highlife composition of his type of music, the general orchestration, instrumentation and lyrical delivery are quite interesting.    The album spews out a brilliant presentation, with Oheneba exhibiting his unique lyrical prowess.

The album opens with “Meye ama wo” which is presented in a typical unique flavour, followed by “Me nhiyia bi da,” a well-composed love song with great lyrics and a wonderful storyline (currently enjoying a lot of airplay).

Third on the album is “Kaatse Ntsui,” another well-composed song in Ga which literally translates, “don't break my heart” and serves as a warning to lovers not to disappoint their partners. Next on the album is “Nsem keka”. “Eno” is a song dedicated to his late mother; it soothes and balms all hurting souls.

It continues with “Ode sia me”; the next track, “Ko no saa,” is sweet as well as scented with love.

“Adae ye pena” is another wonderful song. The album concludes with the reggae version of “Kaatse Ntsui” and a different version of “Eno”.

The album was recorded and mixed at the Famous West Wise and Rheinklang Studios in Germany, under the supervision of Mac Okraku and Bodo; and produced by Oheneba Investments for Slip Music Entertainment.
