Ghanaian singer Efya has tied the knot with Nigerian singer and songwriter Tomi Thomas in a traditional marriage ceremony held in Accra on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The ceremony was attended by family members, friends and several prominent figures from Ghana's entertainment industry, including Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Sister Derby, Fella Makafui, Hajia4Reall, Efia Odo and Kafui Danku.
Efya wore a traditional kente outfit for the occasion, while her husband also appeared in traditional attire.
The couple's journey towards marriage became public in February 2026 when their families held a knocking ceremony on February 14. However, their management subsequently clarified that the event did not constitute the completion of their traditional marriage rites.
Tomi Thomas is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer whose music blends Afro-pop, R&B, hip-hop, soul, reggae and dancehall.
Born in Lagos on November 9, 1992, he began his music career as a member and lead vocalist of the Nigerian music collective Loud On Sound (LOS), which gained recognition through songs such as Bad Guy P and On Fire.
He later embarked on a solo career in 2014, releasing his debut extended play, Patience, which featured the song Ready or Not. His subsequent projects include The Black Couch (2016), Illusions (2018) and Hopeless Romantic (2021).
Throughout his career, Tomi Thomas has collaborated with international artistes, including Buju Banton and Wale. In June 2024, he released the single Seeing Is Believing.
The newlyweds are expected to celebrate their union with a white wedding in Accra on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
