Kwame Owusu Fordjour, popularly known as Dr. UN, has dared critics who describe his controversial award scheme as fake to take legal action against him if they can substantiate their claims.
According to Adomonline report, he expressed frustration over the continued criticism of his Global Blueprint Excellence Awards, six years after the controversy erupted.
He accused some journalists and members of the public of making allegations without proper research, warning that he would no longer tolerate such descriptions.
“Six years now and I am still hearing that. Stop the foolishness and educate yourselves. I won't take it lightly on anyone who says that to me again,” he said.
Dr. UN urged his critics to provide evidence or take the matter to court rather than continue making what he considers unfounded allegations.
The controversy dates back to 2020, when his awards ceremony attracted public attention after claims of links to the United Nations and the Kofi Annan Foundation were questioned.
He subsequently defended the initiative, insisting it was organised by his own institution and arguing that the abbreviation “UN” was not exclusive to the United Nations.
He also maintained that the personalities honoured at the ceremony deserved recognition.
