Veteran actress Adwoa Smart has received a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment after floods destroyed her home.
The new apartment was provided by businesswoman and philanthropist, Maame Gold, through her foundation, the Maame Gold Foundation, with support from some friends.
Media reports indicated that Maame Gold said she was moved to assist the actress after witnessing the damage to her home when she dropped her off at the property.
She explained that Adwoa Smart had initially turned down her offer of help, as the actress rarely spoke about her personal difficulties.
Determined to support her, the philanthropist later arranged a surprise presentation, inviting the actress on the pretext of visiting another person.
Adwoa Smart was overcome with emotion when she discovered that the apartment had been prepared for her.
The apartment is fully furnished with essential household items, allowing her to move into her new home without worrying about necessities.
Expressing her gratitude, the actress offered prayers and blessings for Maame Gold, describing the gesture as timely support during a difficult period in her life.
