Stonebwoy’s publicist, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, has clarified that the BHIM Festival does not have a permanent venue, dismissing suggestions that this year’s move to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium signals a lasting departure from the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking in an interview, Vida explained that the annual music festival has been staged at different locations over the years, depending on the organisers’ plans and the experience they want to create for fans.
According to her, the festival has previously been held at various venues, including arenas, parks and the beach.
“We do not have a permanent venue per se for the event,” she said.
Her comments come amid discussions surrounding the choice of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium for this year’s edition, following last year’s event at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Vida stressed that the selection of a venue is not necessarily a permanent decision, explaining that the organisers assess their options based on the requirements of each edition.
She added that the University of Ghana Sports Stadium was particularly attractive this year because of the production plans and the overall experience the team hopes to deliver to patrons.
The clarification suggests that future editions of the festival could take place at different locations, depending on the organisers’ objectives and the suitability of available venues.
As preparations continue, the choice of venue remains an important part of the organisers’ efforts to create a memorable experience for Stonebwoy’s fans.
