Ghanaian dancehall and reggae star Stonebwoy has responded strongly to Kwabena Bobie Ansah following what he describes as a disrespectful remark about his personality, insisting that he can defend himself whenever the need arises.
In his response, Stonebwoy expressed displeasure with the manner in which Bobie Ansah allegedly described him, questioning why the media personality would attack his character without any apparent reason.
According to the award-winning musician, his response should serve as evidence that he is capable of reacting to anyone, at any time and anywhere, without necessarily waiting for the perfect moment to speak out.
“See how this man disrespectfully describes me for no reason,” Stonebwoy stated.
He further explained that he does not harbour grudges and prefers to speak whenever he considers it necessary rather than allowing others to dictate when he should respond to criticism.
Stonebwoy also suggested that he could have resorted to harsh insults in retaliation for the alleged attack on his character. However, he maintained that such a response would have been unnecessary.
“I could have rained insults on you for attacking my character, just like your favourite does, but it is unnecessary,” he said.
The musician attributed his decision to respond calmly to the respect he has for older people, noting that he has uncles around Bobie Ansah's age whom he holds in high regard.
Stonebwoy explained that his intention was not to engage in a personal battle but to challenge what he considers an attempt to glorify behaviour that undermines the moral values of Ghanaian society.
“I only replied so that people like you would stop glorifying acts that degrade the moral fabric of our nation,” he added.
