Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has extended a playful invitation to President John Dramani Mahama to join him in celebrating his birthday concert, ShattaFest 2026, scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In a message shared on X, the musician called on the President to relax at home and tune in to his performance on GHOne TV or his official YouTube channel, allowing him to be part of the celebration even if he could not attend the event in person.
The lighthearted invitation comes as Shatta Wale prepares to headline the highly anticipated ShattaFest 2026, which is being held in partnership with MoMo Fest, an initiative associated with MobileMoney Fintech Limited (MTN MoMo).
The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., bringing together members of the Shatta Movement and music lovers for an evening of live performances and entertainment at the national stadium.
This year's festival continues the dancehall star's tradition of celebrating his birthday with fans through music and live entertainment. His 2025 edition, held at Independence Square in Accra, attracted thousands of music enthusiasts and featured performances from several prominent Ghanaian artistes.
Beyond the musical performances, the 2026 edition combines entertainment with activities promoting digital financial services, reflecting the partnership between Shatta Wale and MTN MoMo.
