Cultural Tribes Event LLC knew it was on the right trajectory to showcase Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and spark meaningful global collaboration in trade, tourism, and investment when it unveiled the Ghana Food & Arts Festival (GFAF) on March 27, 2026, at the GNAT Hall in Accra.

The launch was a thrilling immersion into Ghanaian tradition—featuring captivating cultural performances, trusted and beloved culinary experiences, dynamic creative arts sessions, and valuable networking opportunities.

Chief Executive Officer Derick Nii Adawu Abbey described the event as a moment that nourished both mind and body, setting the tone for a festival with far-reaching ambition.

Galvanised by its successful debut, GFAF is stepping confidently onto the international stage with an edition in Kortrijk, Belgium, from September 4 to 7, 2026, followed by another in Barcelona, Spain, from November 24 to 26, 2026.

“Through our events, we are constantly marketing Ghana. That’s why we are working hard to facilitate trade and investment by connecting Ghanaian businesses with international investors, entrepreneurs, and viable economic institutions,” Mr. Abbey noted.

To him, few human processes are more transformative than the thoughtful fusion of artistic expression with strategic business planning. “Our editions abroad are designed as platforms for cultural celebration, international collaboration, and business engagement—with the ultimate aim of promoting Ghana as a destination for culture, tourism, and investment,” he added.

The GFAF team has paid courtesy calls to several diplomatic missions and key institutions to foster strong working relationships. Their engagements so far include the United States Embassy, the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, the Swiss Embassy, the National Chief Imam, Osu Mantse, the Greater Accra Regional Hausa Chief, Ghana Tourism Authority, Unique Insurance Limited, and the offices of the Black Star Experience and Diaspora Affairs at the Presidency.

According to Mr. Abbey, a core objective of the festival is to build long-term partnerships that deliver mutual benefits to Ghana and its international collaborators. Plans are underway to extend future editions to the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, the United States of America, and Canada.

GFAF is committed to unlocking global opportunities for Ghanaian artists, chefs, performers, entrepreneurs, and creative industry professionals. Their collective output holds significant market value, and the festival aims to inspire them toward even greater heights.
