Musician and former University of Ghana Student Representative Council (SRC) President, Guru, says he can unseat sitting Members of Parliament in Ayawaso, Nkoranza South and Nkoranza North if he decides to contest.
Speaking in a radio interview, the rapper said his achievements during his one-year SRC tenure, including providing food for students, constructing boreholes and pursuing a 25 per cent reduction in school fees, demonstrated his leadership ability.
“If I decide to contest for MP in Ayawaso, Nkoranza South or Nkoranza North, the MPs there should resign because they will not win,” he said.
Guru argued that his achievements for thousands of students within a year showed what he could accomplish during a four-year parliamentary term. He also claimed to have strong support in the three constituencies.
