Veteran Ghanaian musician Slim Buster has criticised the current crop of musicians, describing them as selfish over what he considers their unwillingness to collaborate with veteran artistes.
Speaking during a discussion on Adom TV, Slim Buster recounted an experience in which he asked someone to approach a musician on his behalf for a collaboration, but the request was reportedly turned down.
According to him, the incident reflects a growing lack of support and respect for veteran musicians within Ghana's music industry.
To further explain his concerns, Slim Buster cited an alleged incident involving legendary musician Nana Kwame, who reportedly travelled to Ghana and approached one of the country's contemporary hitmakers for a collaboration.
However, the request was allegedly rejected, with the musician reportedly suggesting that Nana Kwame's time had passed and that collaborating with him would amount to using an established artiste to revive a declining career.
Slim Buster expressed disappointment over such an attitude, arguing that veteran musicians deserve recognition and respect for their contributions to the industry.
