Oyarifa Mall was buzzing with excitement on Saturday, 10 October 2026, as O Play Zone, a new indoor children’s playground, officially opened its doors, attracting thousands of children and families from Oyarifa and neighbouring communities.
The opening offered children a variety of fun‑filled activities, giving families a fresh destination for play, sports, adventure and shared experiences.
Designed for children up to 12 years old, O Play Zone features a wide range of attractions, including a multi‑activity jungle gym, trampolines, a climbing wall and a dedicated soft‑play area for younger children.
The facility aims to provide an engaging environment where children can explore, stay active, develop new interests and enjoy memorable moments with friends and family.
“We wanted to create somewhere children can let their imaginations run wild, try something new and simply enjoy being children,” said Nana Ama Akosa Osei, co‑founder of Oyarifa Mall.
“For parents, we want O Play to become an easy answer to that familiar question: ‘Where can we take the kids this weekend?’” she added.
Among the key attractions is a multi‑activity jungle gym featuring slides, swings and ball‑shooting cannons. Children can also test their skills on the climbing wall, participate in the Sumo Ball Game or bounce around the trampoline area, which includes a sticky spider wall and trampoline basketball.
Younger visitors have a dedicated soft‑play zone, while the football and basketball cage welcomes both children and adults, giving parents the chance to join in the fun.
Dedicated seating has also been provided for parents and guardians who prefer to relax while their children explore the various attractions.
With its tagline, “Where Fun Meets Adventure,” O Play Zone is designed to encourage discovery, active play and shared experiences. The facility offers a new option for family outings, playdates, birthday celebrations and school‑group visits.
Beyond the playground, families can access additional entertainment options within Oyarifa Mall. Located just steps away is a Virtual Reality and Game Area featuring VR pods, PS5 gaming, snooker, table tennis, foosball, arcade basketball and air hockey.
The gaming area also offers board games such as chess, Ludo and Jenga, catering to visitors of different ages and interests.
Together with the mall’s food and family‑friendly offerings, the new facilities strengthen Oyarifa Mall’s position as a growing family entertainment destination, bringing younger children, older children and adults together in one location.
Co‑founder Peter Osei said the opportunity for families to create lasting memories was one of the most exciting aspects of the new facility.
“What excites me most is seeing families make memories together,” he said. “Whether it’s a toddler discovering the soft‑play area or a parent joining their child for a game of basketball, there are so many opportunities to share in the fun. We can’t wait to welcome everyone.”
The opening of O Play Zone adds to the entertainment options available to families in Oyarifa and surrounding communities, providing a dedicated indoor space where children can play, explore and enjoy new adventures.
