Gifted Ghanaian gospel musician and philanthropist Alex Acheampong has announced the release of his latest soul-lifting single, titled “Nyame Baako Pɛ (Only One God)”, featuring renowned gospel songstress Obaapa Christie.
The much-anticipated collaboration is set for release on all major digital streaming platforms on Friday, October 9, 2026, and is already being described as an anthem of faith, unity and the unmatched supremacy of the Most High God.
“Nyame Baako Pɛ”, which translates as “Only One God”, is a well-crafted creative piece wrapped in a rich, danceable Ghanaian gospel rhythm.
The song reminds listeners that despite differences in denominations, tribes and the challenges people face, Christians serve one true God who never fails.
Speaking about the song, Alex Acheampong said, "I know this song will motivate many who are facing challenges in their Christian journey and sometimes want to give up and seek help from other small gods because of their difficulties and pressure from genuinely concerned family members.
But always remember, there is only ONE GOD who is still on the throne."
He also expressed his excitement about collaborating with Obaapa Christie, describing her contribution as a blessing to the project.
"Having my sister Obaapa Christie on this song is a blessing and her unique style made this song complete. Her presence on the song adds grace, power and authenticity that only she can deliver."
The song was produced by Ghanaian music producer Dan Bassey, who is described as a highly sought-after producer known for his clean, creative and world-class production.
Dan Bassey has once again delivered a sound designed to appeal to both local and international audiences.
“Nyame Baako Pɛ (Only One God)” will be available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, Audiomack and other major digital platforms.
Alex Acheampong, known for his hit song “Emmanuel”, is also the founder of the Alex Acheampong Foundation, which has been supporting hospitals with incubators and other medical equipment.
He has also officially announced the Emmanuel Praise Concert, scheduled to take place in Kumasi on Sunday, December 27, 2026.
