Nana Akua Addo has appealed to media houses and the public to stop publishing or sharing videos and photographs linked to an alleged domestic dispute involving her family.
The actress and fashion guru, through her lawyers, said in a statement dated October 6, 2026, that the footage currently circulating on social media was leaked without her knowledge or consent.
She said she did not authorise the release of the videos and rejected any suggestion that she had deliberately made the footage public.
A major concern raised in the statement is the privacy of her children. Nana Akua Addo noted that some of the videos reportedly show one of her minor children, making the continued circulation of the material particularly troubling.
She appealed to media organisations to exercise restraint and avoid reproducing or distributing the footage, citing the need to protect the privacy and wellbeing of her family.
Describing the situation as deeply sensitive, she said the family is already dealing with the trauma associated with the incident.
Nana Akua Addo also revealed that the matter is currently before the appropriate authorities and is sub judice. She urged the public to refrain from drawing conclusions and allow the relevant authorities and courts to handle the matter.
She expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service for its timely intervention and said she was confident that the courts would properly address the issues surrounding domestic violence.
The actress said she would provide further details about the matter when the appropriate time comes.
