The husband of Ghanaian actress and fashion icon Nana Akua Addo has reportedly been arrested following an alleged assault on the actress that left her hospitalised.
The reported arrest comes after disturbing videos of Nana Akua Addo emerged online, showing her with visible injuries.
In the footage, the actress is seen with a swollen lip and a cut beneath her eye, while blood could also be seen on her clothing and on the floor. She was reportedly receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged assault have generated widespread concern, with reports circulating online linking the incident to a dispute between the couple.
Some reports have alleged that accusations of infidelity formed part of the disagreement, although those claims have not been independently established. Another report noted that a man believed to be Nana Akua Addo’s husband was heard in footage making allegations of infidelity against her.
The reported arrest of her husband marks a new development in the case as attention continues to focus on Nana Akua Addo’s condition and the circumstances that led to her injuries.
