Ghanaian musician Michael Adangba has been honoured as the Tourism Personality of the Year at the 2026 Upper East Regional Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) Awards.

The recognition celebrates Adangba’s contribution to the promotion of tourism through music and cultural expression, highlighting the growing connection between the creative arts and tourism development in the Upper East Region.

Expressing gratitude for the honour, Adangba thanked the Upper East Regional GTA for recognising his contribution to the sector.

“Thank you Upper East GTA for the recognition as the Michael Adangba Tourism Personality of the Year at the 2026 UE GTA Awards,” he said.

According to the musician, the award goes beyond individual recognition and represents the important role music continues to play in promoting tourism.
