Entertainment critic and music analyst Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has urged artistes to encourage their fan bases to remain focused on supporting their music and brands rather than becoming embroiled in unnecessary rivalries.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Arnold made the submission while discussing the recent tensions involving Ghanaian music heavyweights Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie.
According to him, artistes have a responsibility to guide their supporters and ensure that fan loyalty does not turn into needless attacks and divisions within the music industry.
He advised artistes to use their influence to sensitise their respective fan bases to concentrate on their achievements, music and brand development instead of constantly engaging in battles with other artistes.
Arnold stressed that projecting an artiste’s brand should be more important than getting caught up in rivalries that could distract from their careers.
