Ghanaian music duo R2Bees has hit a major milestone in 2026, surpassing 100 million global streams across all major Digital Service Providers (DSPs) year‑to‑date.

Data from Charts Ghana places the Tema-based pair as the 12th Ghanaian act to cross the 100 million mark this year—further cementing their reputation as one of the country’s most enduring and influential music groups.

For R2Bees, the numbers are yet another reminder of a career defined by hits, versatility and cultural impact.

Since breaking out in the late 2000s, Rashid Mugeez and Faisal “Paedae” Hakeem have shaped the sound of Ghanaian pop, hip-hop and Afrobeats. Their catalogue includes multiple Ghana Music Awards wins and nominations, notably Group of the Year and Best Rap Performance.

They have collaborated with some of Africa’s biggest names—Wande Coal, Davido, Sarkodie, Efya and Tinchy Stryder—helping to push Ghanaian music beyond its borders.

Their acclaimed projects Da Revolution I and Da Revolution II remain blueprint albums for a new generation of Ghanaian acts blending rap, melody and street culture.
