Nollywood actress Ebube Nwagbo has penned a deeply emotional tribute following the passing of actor Alexx Ekubo, describing his death as one of the most painful moments of her life.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Ebube said she still struggles to accept that the actor — whom she affectionately called Ikenna — is truly gone.
“This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to write,” she confessed.
She remembered Alexx as a warm‑hearted soul whose humour, playful pranks, and infectious laughter lit up every room he entered.
“You cracked the heartiest jokes, had an amazing sense of humour, played the crankiest pranks and made everyone around you laugh,” she wrote.
Ebube also highlighted his deep love for family, friends, and God, describing him as someone who genuinely cared for people and always showed up when needed. She called him a “rare being” whose presence radiated kindness and warmth.
Though the loss is devastating, the actress said she chooses gratitude over grief, cherishing the memories they shared.
“Chief Ikuku1, you lived up to your name, the ‘Breeze’. You passed through just like the wind — unforgettable and gone too soon,” she added.
She ended her tribute with prayers for Alexx Ekubo’s family and loved ones, thanking him for the joy and moments he brought into her life.
