Ghanaian rap icon Okyeame Kwame has paid a heartfelt tribute to late highlife sensation Kofi B, describing him as a rare talent whose legacy continues to resonate within Ghana’s music industry.

Speaking during an interview on Okay FM, the award-winning rapper reflected on the exceptional artistry and natural gift that defined Kofi B’s music career.

According to Okyeame Kwame, what made Kofi B stand out was his unique creative process, which did not rely on formal education or conventional songwriting techniques. He revealed that the late singer often composed his songs spontaneously, drawing inspiration directly from his thoughts and experiences.

“Kofi B wasn’t educated in the formal sense, so he didn’t write lyrics. Everything came straight from his head,” he stated.

The “Rap Doctor” further emphasized that this rare ability made Kofi B’s music deeply authentic and relatable, as his songs were driven by raw emotion and originality rather than structured composition.

Kofi B, known for timeless highlife hits, carved a niche for himself with his distinctive voice and storytelling ability, earning admiration from both fans and fellow musicians. His sudden passing left a huge void in the industry, but his music continues to live on.
