The Board of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) has announced the conclusion of the nominations process for the 27th edition of the awards.
This follows a one-week Errors and Omissions window which allowed stakeholders to flag administrative inaccuracies in the nominees list.
The process formed the final stage of nominations before the transition into the public voting phase.
“The Board confirms that all submissions received within the review period were duly examined with the utmost diligence and fairness, in strict adherence to the scheme's established guidelines and evaluation criteria,” a statement released on Thursday, April 2, read in part.
It added that petitions from artistes, management teams and industry stakeholders focused on concerns such as category placement, eligibility and omissions.
However, after reviewing all submissions, the Board indicated that the initial nominees list remains unchanged.
“Following this process, the Board further confirms that the published nominees list remains unaffected,” the statement added.
The Board also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their feedback, describing it as key to maintaining the credibility of the scheme.
The scheme will now move into the voting phase, with fans expected to support their favourite artistes through designated platforms.
Activities lined up include the TGMA Xperience Concert scheduled for April 11 in Koforidua, ahead of the main awards ceremony on May 9.
