Ghanaian forex trader Kojo Forex, known privately as Bright Kojo Onipayede, has disclosed that he met his wife at the Accra Mall six years ago, at a time when public discussions are ongoing about the Russian national Vladislav Aleksandrovich Liulkov.
The Accra Mall has been widely mentioned in videos linked to Liulkov, who has been accused of targeting women he allegedly met at the shopping centre.
Reports indicate that some of the victims encountered him at the mall and even took selfies with him, unaware of any harmful intentions.
The incident has since triggered warnings urging women to be cautious when interacting with strangers in public places, particularly those who approach them with flattering or charming remarks.
Amid the heightened concerns, Kojo Forex joined the conversation, saying his own experience at the mall led to marriage rather than harm. He suggested that not every stranger who initiates a conversation in a public space has bad intentions.
In a post on X, he wrote, “I met my wife in Accra mall (Pizza Inn) 6yrs ago lol. Continue snubbing your future husbands in public places.”
His comment sparked varied reactions online. A user identified as Will Scanty SZN responded, “Will they learn? No? They are looking for RUSSIAN WHITE MEN AND ALREADY MADE MEN. 'Don’t settle for less' from a girl who can’t afford common airtime.”
Another user, Young Dc, wrote, “Lowkey you're advising them to accept the Russian man in public.”
Clean Kwafo Bella also reacted, asking, “Did you also use the 'come with me' pickup line?”
The exchange has added a different perspective to the ongoing debate, with social media users divided over whether chance encounters in public spaces should be viewed with suspicion or openness.
