Ghanaian musician Kay Blez has voiced frustration over persistent delays in receiving his royalties from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), saying his efforts to claim them over the past four years have yielded no results.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the artiste revealed that despite repeatedly contacting GHAMRO through phone calls and formal inquiries, he has only received vague assurances without any concrete action.

“I’ve been calling GHAMRO for my royalties for four years, and they keep tossing me around,” he lamented. “They always say they’ll get back to me, but nothing happens.”

Kay Blez expressed disappointment that, despite being a registered member of GHAMRO and actively contributing to the music industry, he continues to face such challenges.

He described the situation as disheartening, especially for hardworking musicians who rely on royalties as part of their income. According to him, GHAMRO’s inefficiency and poor communication have made it difficult for artists to trust the institution.

Kay Blez called on GHAMRO to prioritize accountability, transparency, and better engagement with artists, stressing that many musicians face similar issues but remain silent out of frustration or fear of being ignored.
