"I won't marry again, there is a spirit behind wedding rings" - Patapaa

Ghanaian artist and "One Corner" hitmaker Justice Amoah, better known by his stage name Patapaa, has made a bold statement regarding his marriage beliefs.

He says he will never marry again after Liha Miller, a German-based Turkish woman divorced him.

In an Okay FM interview with Nana Romeo Welewele, Patapaa disclosed that his choice is influenced by his failed marriage as well as his spiritual convictions.

He believes that since marriage does not exist in heaven, there is no reason to get married here on earth.

"I don't see the need to get married again because there isn't a marriage in heaven," he said.

Patapaa noted that there may be a spiritual force behind the use of wedding rings.

In the past, he claimed, couples would just bless their unions at home without the use of rings, and everything would have gone smoothly.

“I suspect there is some spirit behind wedding rings. That is why in the olden days, people just blessed their marriage at home without using rings,” he explained.

Regarding his previous relationship, the singer from Swedru revealed that his ex-wife was never prepared for the marriage.

According to him, she was more interested in the celebrity status that came with being his wife.

“I later realized my ex-wife wasn’t ready to be a married wife; she only came for the fame,” he lamented

However, Patapaa made it apparent that money had no bearing on his decision to be single. He underlined that his choice is solely motivated by conviction and principle.
