Stonebwoy, the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, has won the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award for the 10th time at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
He emphasized the importance of recognizing longevity and consistency in the music industry, stating that trophies and respect should be the standard for artists who consistently deliver quality work.
"I will just not for the culture but for the year of work, sacrifice, and perseverance that went into it. This should be my 10th Reggaae/Dancehall artiste of the year. And it's been back to back to back to back," he said.
In his acceptance speech, Stonebwoy expressed gratitude for his achievement, highlighting the hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance that went into his success. He didn't just come to celebrate his win but to remind everyone in the industry that longevity and consistency deserve respect.
"I don't take it for granted at all. I didn't come here tonight just to celebrate success. I came to remind all that we must have respect for longevity," he added.
Stonebwoy believes that artists who have been consistent in their craft should be respected for their dedication and perseverance.
He emphasized that consistency shouldn't only be recognized after receiving applause, but rather it should be the standard for artists who consistently produce quality work.
"Consistency in the game should not come only after the applause. Trophies and respect should be the standard," he emphasised.
