Hon Dzifa Abla Gomashie, the Minister-Designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, The Vice President, and the entire leadership team for her nomination.
In a Facebook post titled Appreciation, the former Deputy Minister of Tourism shared her humility and joy, acknowledging the overwhelming support and congratulatory messages she has received from industry players and the general public.
“Dear all, please help me thank President H.E. JDM, our Vice President, and the team for this honor. I am truly humbled,” she wrote.
The celebrated actress, cultural advocate, and politician assured Ghanaians of her unwavering commitment to preserving Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, promoting tourism, and elevating the creative arts sector. She urged stakeholders to continue providing ideas and support for the growth of the industry.
“I promise to do my best to justify your faith in me. I entreat you to continue to support, as well as bring forth ideas to help promote and preserve our rich cultural heritage, improve our tourist industry, and showcase our creativity for the development of the sector,” she added.
Concluding her message, Gomashie expressed gratitude in her native Ewe language: “Akpe na mi kataaa. Mawu nè yra mi” (Thank you all. God bless you).
Her nomination has been widely lauded, with many stakeholders in the tourism and creative arts sectors expressing confidence in her ability to drive progress and innovation in the industry.
