Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has denied claims that she dates rich men for financial gain, instead asserting she is content with her music career earnings.
In a video posted online, the "Uber Driver" hitmaker addressed ongoing speculation about the source of her income and relationships.
"I think it's high time I addressed some issues because I'm not happy," Wendy Shay said, adding “I am satisfied with the income I generate from music, be it 5,000 cedis or 100,000 cedis."
The artist refuted suggestions she is "greedy" or easily pressured, pointing to her music success.
"By God's grace, I can afford a Range Rover today, so I understand the principle of building on what you have," the Ruff Town signee stated.
She further dismissed links to "sakawa boys" - a term for men who use rituals for wealth.
"I am not the kind of girl you can link me to a big man or Sakawa boy; I don’t do that," she stressed.
Shay challenged those making accusations, saying "Any rich man who claims to have had sex with me for money should come out and make it public."
