Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of Afrobeat star, Davido has accused the singer of not fulfilling his fatherhood responsibilities.
She hinted at changing the surname of their daughter, Imade Adeleke to Momudu since she is the only one taking care of her.
In a Snapchat post on Monday, June 5, the singer’s baby mama noted that her child is doing well despite Davido’s absence in their life.
The mother of one wrote, “Can’t wait to change her last name… I still think Momodu is [perfect] as I’m Mom and Dad."
Replying to a fan who jumped into the “Unavailable” hitmaker, she added, “Lol our elders say the truth is bitter, I haven’t even started yet.”
Momodu, according to a report by Nigeria-based Punch newspaper, had last month taken to her Twitter page to rant about men financially bullying a woman into staying with them.
Love Genesis and subsequent issues
Davido and Sophia Momodu reportedly met on a flight in 2014 and developed a romantic chemistry.
Soon after, Momodu became pregnant and gave birth to their daughter Imade Adeleke in May 2014 in a private hospital in US.
However, their relationship deteriorated.
Davido accused Momodu of trapping him by getting pregnant.
After their split, there were misunderstanding over the custody and welfare of Imade.
The situation worsened to the point that reports surfaced claiming Davido tried to take Imade out of the country without Momodu's permission.
Momodu's uncle, Dele Momodu, intervened by involving lawyers and security agencies to prevent the planned trip.
Davido denied trying to abduct his daughter, stating that he and Momodu had agreed to take Imade abroad for some medical treatment.
