Ghanaian Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng says he was never rewarded for publicly declaring his support for the ruling party, New Patriotic Party, NPP.

The musician is recalled to have pledged his support for the Nana Addo Danquah during the general elections in 2016.

However, the gesture yielded no incentives as the musician in an interview on Hitz FM this morning stated that he received no reward from the party.

“I don’t think so but it is cool, it’s alright,” he told host Daybreak Hitz, Sammy Forson.

He said he wasn’t promised any reward by the party during the campaign and never got paid when it assumed power in 2017.

The singer claimed that the only reward he got from the party was a ‘relationship’.

“I have a relationship with the NPP. I can decide that I want to meet the President and make an effort to see him,” he said.

He added that his relationship with the party does not make him any superior to other citizens.
