African SMEs Dialogue with AfCTA Secretariat to be held in Accra.

The Pan African SMEs Network, with support from GIZ is set to hold the second edition of the African SMEs Dialogue, to directly engage the AfCFTA Secretariat for an expository dialogue on the various protocols of the Free Trade Area.

The first edition of the dialogue held in Accra in July this year focused on identifying the opportunities and threats around AfCFTA for African Small and Medium Scale Businesses. The event brought about over 100 business owners and institutions across Africa, and was streamed online to 100s others.

This edition to focus on understanding the various Protocols of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), will be held on Tuesday 26th October to Thursday 28th October at Airport View Hotel, in Accra, each day from 9am till 2 pm.

The Pan African SMEs Network is seeking to explore all the opportunities and challenges that come with the AfCFTA; for Youth, Women, Small and Medium Scale Businesses on the continent.

Themed “AfCFTA 101 Series”, this dialogue will engage officials from the AfCFTA Secretariat to delve deeper into the Protocols, for business owners and entrepreneurs to understand, and to aid them to be able to trade effectively on the one single African market. Protocols on Trade in Goods and Competition, Trade of Services, Investments and Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution, are among others to be discussed.

The event will also be streamed live on the Facebook page of Pan African SMEs Network.
