US-based Ghanaian Musician Nana Kottens is seeking answers from Facebook after realizing that all his music tunes accounts have been permanently deleted.
Sound Lion Records (SLR) and Nana Kottens Music accounts are owned by a respected American Public Health Professional/ Musician, Mr. Nana Kottens who uses the Facebook platform to sensitize the world against social vices such as the Opioid syndrome through music.
Nana Kottens’ musical works which are geared towards social and community development in America and the world in general have been acknowledged by several American institutions including Liberty University, Music Business Association, an Association of which SLR is a member and Addiction Recovery Organizations and Kpanlogo Yede Ry, Finland.
SoundLion Records and Nana Kottens’s “ Mama Don’t Give up” track released in 2019 to fight Opioid Syndrome went viral amassing some ten thousand followers on Facebook and gained worldwide recognition for its social impacts.
It was therefore nerve-racking to learn that facebook has deliberately and permanently disabled Accounts of such a noble initiative without recourse to the rules of engagement governing it’s own policy.
This has triggered a social uproar causing facebook users to question the rationale behind Facebook’s action as people can not fathom why the platform would take such an insensitive decision against a campaign that promotes social development.
“This is unacceptable, you can’t pull down somebody’s accounts he has built for years with huge numbers without better explanation”, a Facebook user told senaradioonline.com.
We are reliably informed that Facebook pulled down the accounts due to the ”Mama we Miss you” track released recently by SLR and Nana Kottens tunes as a follow-up track after “Mama Don't Give Up” to create the top of the mind awareness in the minds of people on the opioid syndrome campaign.
In a correspondence sighted by senaradioonline.com Facebook alerted SLR and Nana Kottens Tunes that it has disabled the Accounts for not following its community standard.
After Facebook’s action, Nana Kottens wrote to Facebook protesting their action. This compelled facebook to write back to Nana Kottens apologizing to him for pulling down the two accounts and assured him that the Accounts have been restored and that he should prompt them should he find difficulties in logging in.
Nana Kottens then wrote to Facebook in adherence to their earlier advice that he should prompt them should he find difficulties in logging in.
In an anticipation for a restored page, however, Nana Kottens received a shocking message that causes tongue wagging and sent shivers down the spine from facebook informing him that the Accounts have been disabled permanently.
Meanwhile, independent checks by senaradioonline.com revealed that Sound Lion Records and Nana Kottens tunes have not violated Facebook’s community standard as it claimed but pulled down the accounts to rather truncate the huge inroads SLR and Nana Kottens Tunes was making on Facebook.
The questions which beg the answers which Facebook must clarify is the fact that assuming without admitting that Sound Lion Records and Nana Kottens tunes have violated its community standard, wouldn’t it have been more cogent to issue warnings to the offender as opposed to summarily disabling permanently the accounts of the Offender as Facebook did to the chagrin of many?.
Meanwhile, the CEO of SoundLion Records and Nana Kottens tunes Mr. Nana Kottens in an interview with senaradioonline.com expressed his disgust at the decision of Facebook to shatter his dreams and the social contract he has with people with addiction globally.
“This is very bad. The point is that Facebook is not going to take down the Facebook page for Atlantic Records or Rock Nations or bad man entertainment but the very independent Records who is pushing a social agenda through music, you just take me down like that. I can't even put my mind around it”, Nana Kottens fumed.
He has therefore vowed to use all legitimate means to get Facebook to restore the Sound Lion Records and Nana Kottens tunes pages however should this effort fails Nana Kottens does not intend to re-apply to get back on to Facebook but will instead use other social media platforms to promote African talents and talents signed on to the Sound Lion Records.
In the meantime, all information relating to SoundLion Records and Nana Kottens tunes can be accessed through http://www.Soundlionrec.com.
