Annual Kenkey Festival postponed due to Covid-19

Industry News Annual Kenkey Festival postponed due to Covid-19
JAN 22, 2021 LISTEN

Organizers of Kenkey Festival have officially postponed the yearly celebration indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a press statement copied to Attractivemustapha.com, it noted that the safety of their patrons and fans is their priority. This has resulted in the need to postpone this year’s event in anticipation that a solution will be found to curb the pandemic and make way for subsequent years.

Below is the statement:
Hello Kenkey lovers,
It is another year and some of us may have been expecting an announcement from the Kenkey Camp.

We are sorry to announce that Ghana's biggest food festival, The Kenkey Festival has been indefinitely postponed due to the spike in Corona Virus cases and deaths in the country.

As disappointing as it is, we deem it prudent to put first your health and safety ahead of everything else.

We were equally looking forward to celebrating the 5th Anniversary with you in grand style, but that is not meant to be.

It has been a great honor serving you annually with good food, entertainment and a platform to make meaningful contacts.

This is not the end of The Kenkey Festival. We are open to innovative suggestions on how to safely pull this off. If you have any, please do not hesitate to send us a message or contact any of the organizers.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
While we wait for a much brighter day...
Keep calm. Wear your mask. Wash your hands regularly. Keep the distance...And eat more Kenkey.

Signed,
The Kenkey Fest Team
