Derrick Kobina Bonney Populary known as DKB has won the heart of Muslim patrons at the just ended second edition of Ghana Muslim Achievers Awards (GMAA) held at National Theatre.
His performances made Vice President Of Ghana Mahamudu Bawumia, and National Chief Imam Osman Nuhu Sharubutu applauded his performances.
No Vulgar words used this time around, the comedian related his comedy to topical issues during his performance.
Initially DKB wasn’t billed to perform on the night but made a surprise apperance which he managed to pull off to perfection.
Mounting the stage, DKB said I feel I owe the Muslim community an allegiance for impacting immensely to my comedy career.
Currently referred to as the “Boring Comedians”, DKB related his jokes to everyday life in the Muslim community.
According to him, it is very difficult to woo a girl in a Muslim community, the comedian switched to political jokes when he saw The Chief Imam and The Vice President of the Republic Dr. Bawumia.
His final joke was about Political parties and their slogans they use during campaigns, this he [DKB] said dignitaries applauding his laughable performance.
