Accra, April 3, 2017- Hymns Unlimited, expected to be Ghana’s biggest hymns and gospel music concert is slated for Sunday, 9th April, 2017 at the Physician and Surgeons Auditorium, Accra, at 4:00pm prompt.
The Palm Sunday Hymns and gospel music event, organised by Nii Okai Ministries is a partnership with Strategic Communications Africa Limited, (Stratcomm Africa).
The concert is an annual Palm Sunday event to commemorate the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
"This year, “Hymns Unlimited” will also be the occasion for the official launch of Nii Okai's Saving Hearts Foundation (NOSHF), having successfully completed the Saving Hearts Project which was in partnership with the Ghana Heart Foundation that was launched in December 2013 to raise funds for ten heart surgeries for ten needy Ghanaians under ten years."
A host of renowned Ghanaian gospel musicians from all over the country and two choirs are billed to perform at this concert. They include Eugene Zuta, Bernice Offei, Koda, Pastor Helen Yawson, Harmonious Chorale and the Harbour City Mass Choir. Patrons should expect nothing but the best of praise and worship to the glory of God.
According to Nii Okai, the purpose of the concert is to revive the tradition of hymns and get young and old lovers of gospel music to appreciate the value of this tradition of worship.
He said, "Hymns are songs of praise born out of personal experiences with a Living God who is ever present in every detail of our lives. We find that these hymns have anchored the very basic doctrines of our faith over the ages and remain a spiritual health-check for believers in this season where false doctrines and questionable gospel music abound".
"I promise patrons an intense time of psalms, Hymns and spiritual songs with orchestrations fit-for-The-King by a selection of His choicest vessels as we mobilize to save more hearts", he added.
The Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Esther A. N. Cobbah, says ‘Stratcomm Africa believes so much is communicated through hymns and we are delighted to have this opportunity to work with Nii Okai on this concert during this and future Easter seasons. We are also happy to be working with Nii Okai Ministries to raise funds to save hearts’.
Tickets for the event are being sold for GhC50. The tickets are available for purchase at Stratcomm Africa Office, Asylum Down and Nii Okai Ministries, Tema and prospective patrons can obtain tickets by calling this phone number 0246156915.
