Paa Kwasi of defunct music group ‘Dobble’ has stated that he is more famous than in the days when he was working together with his other half, EnnWai.
“I am enjoying stardom now. People think maybe without ‘Dobble’ you cannot hit but they have forgotten that we struggled and hustled before we became ‘Dobble’ for people to recognize us.
“The story of not progressing after going on separate ways will be rewritten in my case because I am that kind of people who looks for failure. I am always for success, success is my friend. I am enjoying it now and even better,” Paa Kwasi told DJ Murphy Lee on Storm Fm’s Entertainment Extra.
He added: “I held a show at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and it was so huge, People chanted the name Paa Kwasi and not ‘Double’. I am pushing and working hard towards the dream. For now I am doing highlife music and that is what I love to do. So far, so good.”
Paa Kwasi who had two nominations in the 2017 edition of the VGMA as a solo artist called on Ghanaians to support the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) despite the challenges.
“People should keep supporting because the only award scheme we have is the VGMA. In as much as people may sometimes disagree with certain things, we cannot write it off. We should keep supporting it till a day that everybody will be satisfied.”
