Kumawood actress Mercy Asiedu has denied the recent media publications that she has joined the ruling party, National Democratic Congress, NDC.
Mercy had been alleged to have collected money from the government to endorse President John Dramani Mahama .
The publication of endorsement emerged online after the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, met a section of movie players in Kumasi to brief them on road maps to help the movie industry.
After the said forum, speculations started flying that some key personalities in the movie industry had endorsed President John Mahama, to which Mercy Asiedu was alleged to have collected an undisclosed money from the Minister.
In an interview on Entertainment Circle with DJ Raw, the actress refuted the accusation and said she had not made any such endorsement.
“It is never true that I have collected money to campaign for the NDC in the upcoming elections.”
“I am even tired of defending myself on these issues. I have decided to invoke curses on anyone who intend to destroy my reputation.”
