From the Celebrity basketball game, heart racing car drifting to a jaw dropping fashion show and many other activities, the BET Experience Africa 2015 has set new grounds for its contenders to follow.
The all-day festival which held yesterday, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa witnessed over three thousand guests gather to experience the first ever BET Experience in Africa.
The line up of events include rib cracking comedy sessions from African comedians like Kenyan Churchill, South Africans Tats Nkozo and David Kau, while Bonang Matheba hosted the Fashion runway session. There were also Car Drifting, free makeovers, meets and greets with the Black Girls Rock, celebrity basketball game, sneakers expo as well as music performances from fast rising talents like Emtee, Fifi Cooper, WTF, Patty Monroe, Moonchild, Stilo Magolide among many others.
South African TV presenter, Nikiwe Bikitsha moderated the Genius Talks, which had South African minister of Sports and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula, Head of NBA Africa, Amadou Gallo Fall, BETs President of programming, Stephen Hill, Khanyi Dhlomo, Greg Maloka and CEO/Founder of Black Girls Rock, Beverly Bond.
The festivities later culminated into the big concert which had international superstars like Maxwell, Mary J Blige, Young Thug, Raphael Saadiq, Flavour, Diamond Platnumz, AKA and many others light up the stage throughout the night.
The BET Experience Africa 2015 is the first of its kind in Africa and will herald in the BET Awards which holds next year.
