Not too long after the release of his debut single, blogger cum musician, Xtreme GH says he prefers to be known as 'Nuru'. The blogger turned musician released hiphop song, 'Mali Zani' featuring Edem some few weeks ago.
In an interview with us, the rapper stated that reason for his name change
is in regard to the need to project a specific and distinct identity to
the international market.
He emphasized that change is natural and inevitable. "The earlier I do
this, the better. I am pretty new to the showbiz industry. It is not going
to be as stressful as if I were a mainstream artist already. 'Nuru' is my
birth name as well", Nuru added.
Other Ghanaian artistes who have gone through similar changes include;
Efya, Zeal (VVIP), Shatta Wale, Edem, Akoo Nana, Samini, among others.
