MultiTV's Joy Prime wins 5 top awards

MultiTV’s Joy Prime Channel has won five top awards for its informative, educative and entertaining programming.

All five wards were won at two major events - Television Awards Ghana and Ghana Kids Choice Awards - organized recently to appreciate and award the hard work of some TV/Media personalities as well as TV channels in the country.

4Kids Paradise won the award for Outstanding Television Set Design for the second conservative time at the Industry Awards of the Television Awards Ghana event held on Saturday August 8 at the Best Western Premier Hotel, Accra.

A follow up of the Industry Awards was the Primetime Awards (Public Event) of the Television Awards Ghana event held on Friday August 14 at the Accra International Conference Center.

The Red Carpet Show took home a second award for the Most Popular Television Entertainment Show of the Year.

Patrons at the Television Awards, organized annually by Showtyme Motion Pictures, were treated to some good music from No Tribe, Kwabena and “Telemo’ hit singer, Gasmilla.

Also at the first ever Ghana Kids Choice Awards held at the National Theatre last Saturday, August 15, Joy Prime grabbed three coveted awards voted in by kids from selected institutions around the country.

The channel won, the Favorite TV Channel while 4Kids Paradise won the Favorite TV Show award.

Akosua Ohenewaa of West Hafeh International School, Kwabenya, a Presenter of 4Kids Paradise was adjudged the Most Promising Child Presenter.

The Ghana Kids Choice Awards, organized by Eddy Bentil Entertainment, witnessed thrilling performances from Kumawood actor Lil Wyn and musicians Eazzy, Gasmilla, Tutulapatu, Cee of Mentor Fame and Big J.

Since its first transmission on March 1 2015, Joy Prime has quickly grown to become a key pillar in the Industry with its quality and award winning programmes.

In a brief interview with the Channel Manager, Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong, she expressed her appreciation to God, the organizers of both events, the strong team effort behind the channel, loyal viewers and voters for the recognition.

She promised more compelling programmes and activities from the channel before the year ends.
