
20 year-old Koo Ntakara has won the second edition of the MTN Hitmaker reality TV singing competition. At the end of the grand finale at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, the son of a ' banku' seller from Koforidua beat Cano Z, Kofi Korea and K-Bee to pick the ultimate prize of GH¢100.00 plus a recording and management deal.
Popularly known as Volta Djata (Volta Lion), Cano Z emerged as the first runner-up and got GH¢50.000. Kofi Korea, a Tema based rapper, who was tipped to win was the second runner-up, with budding gospel artiste and a Taxi Driver, K-Bee taking home the fourth position.
Other awards on the night includes Best Dressed performer which went to K-Bee and Decoder picked home the Best Engineer award.
There were three rounds of competition and evicted member of this year's show, Trozo opened the show by performing two songs, including his popular song, 'Brukina'.
Paradise Entertainment new dance-hall act, AK Songstress, also wowed the crowd with two of her songs. There were also performances from Miriam, the first runner up of the MTN Hitmaker first edition, Ohemaa Mercy, Guru and Nigerian music star, Iyanya.
