Miss Ghana 2003 Set To Take Off

This year’s Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant is all set to take off with the launching of the event at the Labadi Beach Hotel on June 24, after a long hold-up. The event,which has become prominent on Ghana's entertainment calendar, will feature fashion and music shows.

According to the organizers of the show, Media Whizz Kids, the unusual delay was due to a redesigning exercise aimed at further improving the quality of the event and also presenting an equal opportunity to young, intelligent and beautiful Ghanaians all over the world to compete in the event.

The organizers further disclosed that in view of their renewed objective, winners in the various Miss Ghana Beauty Pageants held in some parts of the world, notably, USA, UK, Canada and the Netherlands, will for the first time, join their Ghanaian sisters at home in contesting for the national crown, in an effort to give the event a global outlook.

The preliminaries will be held during the long vacation between July and October with the final event coming off in December. 1987 - Augustina Henaku
