Online Nomination Submissions Start April 10, 2012
Accra, Ghana; April 10th , 2012 - The Planning Committee of the first annual Ghana DJ Awards is proud to announce the call for nominations for the 2012 edition of the Awards. Ghanaian DJs can visit www.ghanadjawards.com for registration forms and a complete list of rules and regulations for application. Submissions open at 12 noon on 10th April and close on 14th May 2012 23.59hrs. The following categories are up for submissions:
Best Gospel DJ
Best High Life DJ
Best Hip Life DJ
Best Reggae DJ
Popular DJ of the Year (People's Choice)
Best Female DJ
Best Radio DJ
Best Mobile DJ
Club MC of The Year
All other categories are through nomination by a jury of industry professionals.
Upon receiving online nominations, a list of nominees will be sent to the A.E Awards planning committee between May and June. To ensure the eligibility of those nominated by the public, a number of review sessions will be held by industry experts, including DJs, music distributors and analysts to thoroughly examine the eligibility of the nominees in the award category they have been nominated in.
Ghana DJ Awards, the premier event to celebrate DJ culture in Ghana, is aimed at highlighting contributions Ghana DJs have made to music distribution & promotion by playing on radio, endorsing & putting songs out to be enjoyed by the masses.
