One of Ghana's enterprising gospel music icons, Selina Boateng, has donated items worth over GH¢800.00 to the Adwenase Rehabilitation Centre in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The donation forms part of her plan to give back to society. The items she gave included 5 bags of rice, 5 gallons of cooking oil, tin tomatoes and drinks.
During the presentation, Selina Boateng said it was her surprise gift to the children who needed support from people like her.
Presenting the items, the gospel musician said the children in the orphanages depended on people like her as their source of encouragement.
According to her, people who were in the position to help such children should do so, adding that she hoped her widow's mite would go a long way to make the children healthy and happy.
The gospel star, who wants to make a difference in the lives of many who want to know and follow the principles of Christ, said she would continue to develop her musical career to enable her reach the top of the ladder.
Selina Boateng is an amazing artiste with three successful albums, but on a more personal level, she is a perfect epitome of the adage humility breeds greatness.
Ever since she dropped her third album, ' Minku Meho' , Selina has been well known on the airwaves and TV screens as a great singer whose inspiring songs never fail to have a progressive impact on the gospel music industry in Ghana.
The songs on her third album have gotten gospel music fanatics rushing to music shops to grab copies of the CD.
According to a number of stakeholders in the music industry, Selina has a bright future and would soon compete with veterans on the music scene. Others say she has what it takes to go international.
